Who we are

This website, creatingplaybm.com, is run by Bernardo Malafaya (Creating Play), based in Portugal. For any privacy question, write to hello@creatingplaybm.com.

What we collect

• When you use the contact form: your name, your email address and your message.
• When you answer the player survey: your answers and, only if you choose to give it, your email address.

We do not ask for any other personal data, and you can browse the whole site without giving us anything.

Why we use it

• To reply to your messages.
• To learn what players enjoy, so we can make better games.
• To send you news about new games, only if you ticked the box to agree. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any of our emails.

We never sell your data and never share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Messages are kept for as long as we need them to answer you. Survey answers are kept for up to two years. If you subscribed to news, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking. We do not build profiles of visitors.

The game on this site

Creating Play Run is played in your browser. Your progress, best times and settings are saved only on your own device (in your browser's local storage). They are never sent to us, and you can delete them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Services we use

• Cloudflare hosts the website and delivers our email. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site. Cloudflare privacy policy
• Google Fonts provides the typefaces. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address. Google privacy policy
• YouTube hosts our trailers. Trailer thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's servers, and the videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set cookies until you press play. Once you play a video, YouTube's own policy applies. Google privacy policy
• Forms: the contact form and the survey open your own email app with your answers filled in, so nothing is sent until you press send. If we later use a form service (such as Formspree) to receive answers directly, we will list it here.

These providers process data only to provide their service. Some of them may process data outside the European Union, under the safeguards required by the GDPR.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent at any time. Just email hello@creatingplaybm.com. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
